I have a Bible on the package shelf of my car. In the trunk is another Bible and a copy of the UCC Book of Worship.
I'm preaching sermons.
I talk theology with friends, even those who are agnostic or atheist.
At least one friend said I was his favorite theologian.
When I see an empty building, I think about how it could be configured as worship space.
Coworkers ask me to pray for relatives, and to be with them in their grief about friends and family who are ill or who have died - and I respond as if this were normal.
Sometimes I look at the changes in this life and ask "Who am I, and what have I done with me?"
OK, sure, I know, I've gone to seminary and been in a Member in Discernment program. But really, me?
The song I keep thinking about is "Once in a Lifetime" by Talking Heads.
