Prodigal Creation: The Author (part 7)

So if God is all powerful, why can't God make stuff for God?

God could have a body, if God wanted one, right? But if we think of God as Author, then the power of creativity exists only in the story. Stories are from a human author, of the author, come from within the author, but the author isn't in the story.

Of course, the human author of a story could write him or herself into the story. Even if an author does so, the character in the story isn't exactly the author. What happens to the author in the story is not what happens to the author in real life. Even in cases when an author is using real life as a model, events of the story do not impact the author in real life.

I'm going to cover this a bit more in Christology, but yes, I think God can create a body for God's self.
